Alexander Hlllstrom, organiser of the New Yoik & Utah Oil company, which last year sank two holes In Clark's Valley, Emery county, and which Is now operating in the Florence, Flor-ence, Colorado, field, was In Ogden Thursday on his way to New York, wheie he Is going to make arrangements arrange-ments for the Immediate drilling of several wells In Cache Valley, a short distance south fiom Logan. Mr. Hlllstrom, It Is undeistood, has Just taken a bond on the 48,800 acres tract : of grazing land in Cache valley belonging be-longing to J. H. White and others, besides having secured leases on 5,000 acres of other land In the same valley. This great tract of land Is to be made the basis of a powerful company that will develop the oil and gas prospects, which are understood to be first-class, with as little delay as possible. The examination's of the field made by Mr: Hllstrom convinces him that no portion of the state presents better bet-ter pinspects of developing a magnificent magnifi-cent oil and gas field than does Cache valley. He declared yesterday that had he gone north Instead of south when he decided to drill In Emery county, ho would have some tine wells In operation by this time.
