He had Just com-pleted com-pleted contracting with the Xewton people. Mr. Hyde states .shat the acreage contracted for H04 Is about equal to that of last year. Contracts arc about all in except fiom Lewis-ton. Lewis-ton. The farmers there prefer wait ing a short time to find out the true condition of their land after It has received such a severe soaking. Everything Ev-erything considered, a larger acreage Is expected from Lewlston than In years past. The larger acreage In tills county means more money in tho fall for the people. There Is no need of a man or a boy leaving home for work now, as there is plenty at home, brought here by the adcnt of the sugar factory, which lias proven a great blessing to Cache Valley. When boys can be furnished enployment at a lucrative figure and bo kept under the parental care, the institution thus furnishing the labor should receive the undivided support of every man In Cache county. As a mark of appreciation, ap-preciation, and also as a consideration that Is clue the factory fiom beinir heavy tax payers, they should have a II rst class road built from Logan to the factory. Many visitors come to Logan, too, but are unable to go to the factory owing to the bad condi-son condi-son of the road In beet hauling time the load from Logan to the factory fac-tory Is Utcrall.v covered with teams right today. Everything considered, that piece of load should receive the first attention of theCounty Commiss-ioneis. |
