Show Macbeth. "Abandon hopo all ye who enter here," is the well known inscription over the entrance to Dante's inferno. But of all tho pictures of evil, none can compare with the fearful incantation incanta-tion of the witches seen In Shakespeare's Shakes-peare's play. As the poet says, "My young remembcrance cannot parellcl a fellow to It." In days gone by, the spirit business on the stage was mangled man-gled fearfully, but at the present time with the aid of chemicals, blographs, electricity and steel, the spirits are produced In wonderful shape and not at all unpleasant to the eye. Several of these modern up-to-date wonders arc exhibited by Aldcn Benedict's company In Macbeth, with John Griffith, at the Thatcher Opera House. |
