Show W '-i - fa-IP 4V) m Willard Bess Succumbs; Services held Willard (Cone) James Bess age 66 of Parowan died July 21, 1978 in the Valley View Medical Center. He was born in Cedar City October 6, 1912 to Joseph (Dodd) Benjamin and Agnus Webster Bess. On August 18, 1934 in Parowan he married his sweetheart Cleo Alger. Mr. Bess was a heavy duty mechanic for the Columbia Iron Mines. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife, three sons and four daughters: Ray Bess of Sandy, Utah Ronald Bess, Kenneth Bess, Mrs. Alan (Kathleen) Stones and Mrs. Hal (Janet) Thornton all of Parowan, Mrs. Frank (Cleone) Richardson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mrs. Val (Betty Jo) Robb of Paragonah; 38 grandchildren grand-children and one great grandchild; his mother Mrs. Elsie Mosdell of Cedar City; five brothers and three sisters: Jack Bess of Murray, Utah Ambrose Bess of Salt Lake City, Utah, Keith Bess of Cedar City, Utah Rex Bess of Parowan, Utah, Nolan Bess of Kearns, Utah Mrs. Don (Colleen) Murdock and Mrs. Jay (LaRue) Rowey both of Cedar City and Mrs. Eddie (Marie) Wheeler of Las Vegas Nevada. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 78, 1978 in the Parowan 2nd LDS Ward Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Glen Haiterman conducting. Friends may call at the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary at North and Main in Parowan Wednesday Wed-nesday evening from 7-9 and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
