Show I ,VC. ? New Harmony 4. I J liy Marva I). Prince Mrs. Ken Parker received word of the passing of her brother Randy Humphries of Hurricane. Our sympathy and best wishes from her friends of New Harmony. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian F. Prince and sons Elwin and Gary traveled to Salt Lake City to take Elwin to enter the Mission Home Saturday June 17, before leaving for Salt Lake Elder Prince was set apart for his mission by President Jeff Marchant of the Cedar City Utah West Stake, then a chicken dinner was held at the Cedar City park in honor of Elwin by his parents and Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell D. Prince and girls, Fred Melville and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Prince and Kara. Word was received by friends of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Leavitt that their youngest daughter Tuila and her family with a friend were involved in a car accident back east and Tuila was killed and her husband and one son was hurt seriously. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Leavitt has a ranch here and spends the winter months in Mesquite, Nev. Our love and sympathy goes out to this family. A closing party was held Thurs. evening in the Ward Cultural Hall for all Relief Society members and their partners to honor the retiring Relief Society presidency, Viola Kelsey, Vilo Pearce and June Huntsman. A pot luck dinner was served and a program was presented. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pearce, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle B. Prince, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Pace and Marion Prince attended a Golden Wedding celebration in Henderson Nev. for former resident of New Harmony Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Prince. Pratt is a brother of Marion Prince. Visiting recently with her mother, Aunt Emma Nielson, was her daughter Margaret Mecham of Milford. Aunt Emma recently had the misfortune to fall and break her hand. Bro. and sister Joe Walker are the proud parents of a little girl born Sunday afternoon af-ternoon June 25 at the Valley View Medical Center. To welcome the little Miss home are four brothers and three sisters. Congratulations to the proud family. Mr. and Mrs. Odele Walker, Mrs. Albert Harrison all of St. George and a sister of Ashby W. Pace, Minnie McFarland and two daughters, Lillian Jones and Kate Mcfarland, visited recently with Ashby and other relatives. Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Harrison are nieces of Mrs. Mcfarland. Mc-farland. Visiting for a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Taylor were Mrs. David (Joycelyn) Gardner and three sons, her friend Joan Peck and daughter Paula and two sons all of Granger. Also visiting with the Taylors were Leland brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kelsey Taylor of Las Vegas. Mrs. Lyle Prince received word of the passing of her sister in law Marrie Williams of Henderson, Nev., wife of the late Clayton Williams. |
