Show Parowan at Mill ord contest is big game of week TEAM STANDINGS Won Lost Pet. Won Lost Pet. Enterprise 2 1 -667 Mllford 2 1 .667 Beaver 0 4 .000 Kanab 1 2 .333 The Parowan High Ram basketball team comes up to its final game of the first half of play in the Class B division of Region Eight this Friday and goes against what will probably be its toughest tough-est test of the season, taking on the high scoring Millord Tigers in the Millord gym. The game wili be Friday at 8 p. m. with the JV game' bet-tween bet-tween the two schools at 6:15. While Parowan has three wins to two wins and a lo6S for the Tigers, one of their wins is at Kanab where Parowan Par-owan has yet to play, and their loss is at Enterprise where we have yet to go. We do have a good win at Beaver, Bea-ver, always a good one to have behind. The Tigers have more size and height than the Rams and have Kenny Holm, the division's divi-sion's highest scorer. He has hit in the 40's several times this year, and at home is almost al-most unstoppable. In fact h may be most of the Millord team, and if this is so, they could have trouble with the well balanced scoring of the Rams of Coach Bill Farr, who has his team going all out. With Kevin Robinson, Ken Adams and Les Topham now hitting in the double figures regularly, and the other boys just below that, always good for some points, it is not a one man team, but a six or eight man outfit. And this is a good point in the foul-ridden games of this year. In the other league contest, Enterprise will be at Kanab, with the home team rather expected ex-pected to get this one, although al-though the Wolves are rather upset minded and are hungry for a spot in the region Eight play-off. Two games (for revenue), rev-enue), only are also on the docket for the week end, The Millard Eagles will come to Beaver Friday night and Kanab Ka-nab will come to Hurricane Saturday night. These games will end first half play in the league. |
