Tourney winner named by women bowlers Winners of the annual City Association Bowling Tournament Tourna-ment were announced this week following competition over the week end. First place honors in the team event went to Mullett Jewelry with a score of 2940. Members of the team include Alice Tuckett, Margie Thorley, Dorothy Urie, Carin Humphries Hump-hries and Pat Heyborne'. Second Sec-ond place in the team competition compe-tition went to R. C. Cola with a score of 2926. Team members mem-bers are Lil Hazel, Shirley Batty, Dora Gower, Donna Jol-ley Jol-ley and Leone Wade. All-events honors were garnered gar-nered by Ruth Webb with a composite score of 1658. All-events All-events is determined by a compilation of team, doubles and singles competition. Doubles winners in the tourney were Dian Cummings and Ruby Webster with a score of 1205. Eight pins behind be-hind with a score of 1197 was the team of Ann Gower and Evelyn Brazier. In singles competition Vivian Viv-ian Parks took top honors with a 695 series. In league competition, Strikettes, Nora Smith was the j top point getter as she posted a game of 195 and a series effort of 528. Mullett Jewelry took team honors with a 808 game and 2339 series. |
