Show Old Lund Depot donated to VFW Union Pacific Railroad has donated the old Lund Depot to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3510 of Cedar City, it was revealed this week by Post officers. Plans are currently being made to transport the building, build-ing, which measures 140 feet by 40 feet to a site near the Iron County Road Sheds just northwest of the city. The depot was built by the Railroad in 1903 and at one time was the most expensive and most beautiful building along the railroad from Salt Lake City to Los Angegles. In addition to providing quarters for the VFW Post the unit hopes to also preserve the historical significance of the structure. |
