Show BUD GREEN PRESIDENT Snowmobile association formed Glass, secretary and treasurer, and Fred Green and Bill Brown, directors. The next scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 27, at. 8:00 p. m., at the Employment Office, 106 East 200 North. Everyone interested in snow, mobiling is encouraged to attend. at-tend. At the meeting plans will be made for the club's participation in the forthcoming forthcom-ing Snow Carnival. Here in the heart of Color Country it is mid-winter and the beginning of a new year. Outdoor recreation is limited in the winter but in the last few years the snowmobile has come into its own. A recreational recrea-tional vehicle that covers a variety of uses from competition competi-tion racing, a work vehicle or for just plain family fun the snowmobile is here to stay. With the growing interest for snowmobiles in this area the need for some type of organization or-ganization was realized by two local businessmen. Their foresight has brought about the forming of the "Color Country Snowmobile Club." Bud Green, a local service . station operator and snowmobile snowmo-bile dealer and Wilford Day, the city's only public transportation trans-portation operator put out a call in early December for all persons interested in forming a snowmobile club. The response re-sponse was overwhelming and with the first meeting, ground work was laid to form the club. In one short month the club has elected its officers and board of directors, has had its first cross-country outing and has planned a program of events for the remainder of the winter season that will keep everyone in the club quite busy.
