Show Three First Ward youths win coveted Duty to God awards - I ' -WTi V I ii In impressive ceremonies in the Sacrament meeting of the Parowan First Ward on Sunday, Sun-day, July 10, three young men from the ward received their coveted Duty to God awards, with Bishop Stephen R. Adams conducting.. Receiving the awards were the twin sons of Mrs. H. Le-Roy Le-Roy Adams, Alan and Alma, and James Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thales Brown, all of them active members in that ward in the LDS Church work. Presently members of the Priests quorum, all have held offices in the Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood groups as well as in explorer Post 341 of the ward. Also all three are four year graduates of the Parowan LDS Seminary. All three of the boys have come up through school together to-gether and were members of the Parowan High School graduating class of 1971. All were active in affairs of the local Future Farmers of America Am-erica chapter, and served as officers up to president in the organization. All three of the boys were active in athletics during high school, all playing on the football foot-ball squad; Jim playing basketball bas-ketball and Alma on the wrestling wres-tling team. We understand that all three of the boys are planning plan-ning to enroll at Utah State University in September.
