Show Nationally syndicated columnist visits southern Utah as guest of Fred Esplin Jack Anderson, nationally syndicated columnist, and hi-s family spent t'.o past week in the southern Utah area as guests of the Charles Esplin family and touring the scenic localities near Cedar City. Mr. Anderson's column originates or-iginates in Washington, D. C. He is also Washington Bureau chief for Parade Magazine. Mr. Anderson was an assistant assist-ant to Drew- Pearson prior to his death sereral years ago. Mr. Andprson i a native of Utah, having been born in urh Salt Lake. A daughter Cheri, is a student at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University. The Andersons were invited to vis it southern Utah by Fred Esplin, Es-plin, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Esplin, who lived witl the family while he was member of the National In stitutes of Health intern pro gram in Bethesda, Md. during the summer of 1970. While in this area the Anderson An-derson family visited the Esplin Es-plin ranch on Cedar Mountain Moun-tain and took a boat trip to Lake Powell. While on the boat tour, Mr Anderson and Fred Esplin were instrumental instrumen-tal in rescuing a 62-veqr.old woman vacationer who nad fallen from a house boat while cruising on the lake. |
