Show Special photography workshop to be held at college Home-processed color photo-graphy photo-graphy will be the subject of a summer workshop at Southern South-ern Utah State College July 1819 and July 25-26, it was announced by Dr. McRay Cloward, Summer School Director. Conducted by Professor Richard Rich-ard M. Rowley, Chairman of the Department of Communications, Commun-ications, the workshop will emphasize ways amateur photographers can process their own color slides and prints at home. Using a new simplified process, students can make color enlargements or color prints from their own color slides without the use of negatives. Professor Rowley has been experimenting for the past few months in the SUSC Photography Lab on simplified, lowcost processes for color printing and has developed de-veloped techniques adaptable to home darkroom use with modest equipment, including processing of quality color prints with "kitchen-sink" facilities. The workshop will be available avail-able for college credit. It will occupy Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday on the two successive week-1 ends. The interval between the two sessions will give photographers photo-graphers opportunity for field trips and home processing of color films. |
