Show Red Hill Wranglers to stage two-day race meet Flnai preparation are in the making for the two-day race meet which will feature the July Fourth celebration in Parowan Par-owan and run over into Saturday, Sat-urday, July 5, according to Norman Evans, president of the Red Hill Wranglers riding club which is sponsoring the two-day event, and Gary Eont-ley, Eont-ley, race chairman. Post time .will be 2 p. m. at the Parowan race track, one of the best in southern Utah, and two full days of racing will be staged for the entertainment of race fans of this area. Seven races will be on the card both days, with $1400 in purses to be paid. While no rodeo events are to be staged in connection with this meet, there will be various equestrian events set between races for the entertainment enter-tainment of those who attend. The sponsors will also set up and operate food and refreshment re-freshment stands at the track both days for the accommodation accommoda-tion of those who attend. The July 4 meeting will be the afternoon portion of the observance of Independence day, with the morning portion por-tion of the celebration to be staged under the sponsorship of Parowan City. |
