Show Summer School session planned More than 60 courses will begin Monday July 7 for the second session of Southern Utah State College Summer School, it was announced by Dr. McRay Cloward, dean of the SUSC School of Continuing Education. Dr. Cloward said it is possible pos-sible to pre-register for courses although formal registration for the four-week session will be conducted July 7 and 8 in the SUSC Registrar's Office. Special workshops planned for the second summer school term include Outdoor Camping Camp-ing and Recreation, July 7-Aug. 7-Aug. 1. Taught by Professor Boyd Adams, the course is designed de-signed to improve skills in DUtdoor recreation activities. Emphasis will be placed on such areas as hiking, camping, :amp crafts, fishing and other type activities. Most of the iime will be spent in the Dixie Mational Forest and the can-yonlands can-yonlands of southern Utah. A Readng Clinic for Remedial Remed-ial Readers will begin July 7 md continue through Aug. 1. Individual diagnosis of readng read-ng .problems, will be provided :or each participant with eading instruction to be con-lucted con-lucted on a small group and n dividual basis. The course vill be taught by Faye Pickle-1 ;imer of . the Washington bounty School District. Student Teaching in Remed-al Remed-al Education will also begin uly 7 and last until Aug. 1. rhis is a course for elemen-ary elemen-ary and secondary teachers vho are certified but who are eeking a Remedial Education Sndorsement to the present eaching certificate.
