Kent Stapley of Cedar City with his . Appaloosa "Joker's Hygro,' won first pplace in the aged stallion class at first Appaloosa Show staged at Bloomington. Ten-year-old wins Las Vegas lass walks of f with honors in first annual Appaloosa Horse Show Ton year old Cindy Gardner of Las Vegas, Nov. walked off with the High Point performance perform-ance honors and the High Point Youth award at the first All Appaloosa Horse Show recently staged by the Color Country Appaloosa Horse Club at Bloomington. Entries from many different areas participated in the show. Miss Gardner owns and trained train-ed her own horse and received high praise for her efforts at the show. Club officers expressed their appreciation to all who helped help-ed make the first annual show such a huge success. Other winners were listed as follows: Grand Champion Gelding: The Yakima Chief, owned by Burnell Kinslow, Pahrump, Nevada. Grand Champion Mare, and listed in 2-year-old mares, Missoula K, owned by Bill Friker, Las Vegas, Nov. First in Colts of 1969 and Jr. Champion Stallion, Prince Lev-ish, Lev-ish, owned by Dew Chenowith, Lathrop Well, Nev. First in 2-year-old Stallions Stal-lions and grand champion stallion: Prince Sambo, owned by Dew Chenowith, Lathrop ; Well, Nev. First in 4 year and older Stallions: Joker Hygro, owned by Kent Stapley, Cedar City. Got of Sire: Dwyo Polka, owned by Dallas Grant and James Neilson, New Harmony; Pokey's Pat Hand, Jim Neilson, iew Harmony; Polka's Cameo, Keith Neilson, Washington and Windy's Cinnamon, Fern-ley Fern-ley Bryyant, Cedar City. First in Filly foals of 1970 and Jr. Grand Champion Mare: Filly, owned by Val Dean Jessen, St. George-Officers George-Officers indicate that many activities are being planned for the summer season, including in-cluding trail rides, cookouts, parades and youth workshops which will be conducted by Ray Black, past president of the Utah Appaloosa Club.
