Minor League baseball program in Cedar City to be under new plan of organization Monday, June 1 at 8 p.m. at the High School in Coach Marshall's room. A new baseball program was organized this past week in Cedar City- j It will be known p.s the Ce- dar City League and the old minor league program, previously previ-ously organized through the City Recreation program, will be phased out. The program is open to all boys who have completed 2nd grade up to 12 years of age. Registration cards for boys in-terested in-terested in the program are available at Hunter Hardware and Lunt Motor Co. Official registration and team selection will be held June 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the East i Elementary baseball field. A registration fee of $5.00 is suggested, sug-gested, however, no boy will be turned away if he can't pay. this amount, officials stated. At the organization meeting meet-ing officers were elected and Charles Hoyt was named as president. He. will work closely close-ly with city recreation director, direc-tor, Jim Marshall. Other officers include vice president, Ed Hahne; treasurer, treasur-er, Eugene Holman assisted by Deone Brown; secretary, Zola Halsey; player agent, Jerry Ingjer; chief umpire, Floyd Matheson assisted by Mitchell Lunt and equipment manager, Gordon Sutherland. Managers who will direct the individual teams will include in-clude John Augustus, Jerald Brindley, Brent Woolsey, Ronald Ron-ald LeFevre, Bernell Twitchell and Cecil Jorgenson. Officers announce that anyone any-one interested in managing a team or coaching should attend at-tend a meeting slated for |
