Show City government reports on water system This is number three in a series of reports on activities of your Parowan City governmental govern-mental function. They are being published at the request of the Mayor, who with the city employes are compiling the information. They are published to acquaint city residents res-idents with a sort of a progress pro-gress report. This one is to inform you of what our city water system is doing. The new water system is half way installed inside the city limits, as inaugurated a few years ago on a pay as we go basis. A chlorlnator is located lo-cated above the water storage stor-age tank and all water goes through the chlorlnator which feeds the chlorine gas into it automatically at approximately approximate-ly one pound to every 3,000,-000 3,000,-000 pounds of water. The chlorinator is read and checked check-ed daily. Any setting that is necessary is also made. Water samples and a chlor-ination chlor-ination report is sent into the state each month, and all samples have been reported as being satisfactory. All water is metered into the storage tank and last year a total of 201,08-1,000 gallons of water was measured Into the culinary distribution system. The water distribution system and the chlorinator is checked check-ed periodically by a man from the Utah state department of health, who reports back to j city officials. |
