Dyson and E. Keith Howick. Ogden firm buys Dixie Aviation All of the assets of Dixie Aviation Corporation, of St. George, including Dixie Airlines, Air-lines, have 'been acquired by J. D. Air Service of Ogden. Announcement of the acquisition acqui-sition was made by E. Keith Howick, Salt Lake City attorney attor-ney and president of Sky West as the new company will be known. Bruce Stucki of St. George, was the operator of Dixie Aviation. "We are inaugurating use of Cessna 402 twin-engine 10 pas-senger pas-senger planes on the scheduled schedul-ed daily flights between Salt Lake City and St. George, and our newly extended route to Las Vegas," Howick explained. "We're considering doubling our schedules between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, to permit passengers to arrive at either city in the morning and return home the same day," he continued. Dixie Airlines has been the only scheduled line into St. George. It makes stops at principal prin-cipal points enroute and maintains main-tains fixed base operations at Cedar City and St. George. J. D. Air Service has been en- gaged in flight school and charter service in Ogden. The new company now has 11 planes. Other oficers of the new company are Donald Dyson, vice president; LeRoy Dyson, secretary-treasurer, and Jim Breeze, general manager and chief pilot. In addition to the scheduled flights, the new firm offers flying Instruction at Ogden, Cedar- City and St. George; charter flights, contract flying, fly-ing, canyon tours and pipeline pipe-line service. All service is FAA approved, concluded Howick. |
