Show Don B.Orton,58 succumbs; honored at services Funeral services were held Monday, Mar. 23 for Don Bent-ley Bent-ley Orton, 58, who died in the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City March 20 of natural causes. Services were conducted by Bp. Hyatt Bentley at the Parowan Par-owan Third Ward Chapel. Speakers were Bert Felstead and Pres. Howard Knight, with a tribute by Sherry Dawn Dalton and remarks by Bp. Bentley. Family prayer was offered by Warren A. Dalton. Invocation was given by Dixon Dix-on Hunter, the benediction by Luckie Felstead and the dedication ded-ication of the grave at the Parowan City Cemetery was by Alton Orton. Musical selections included two songs by a double mixed quartet consisting o f Alice Mitchell, Ola Robinson, Veda Adams, Margaret Knight, Howard Ho-ward Knight, Earnest Ahl-borne, Ahl-borne, Watson Adams, and Karl Mitchell. They sang "Jesus "Jes-us Lover of My Soul," and "That Beautiful Country." An organ solo, "Somewhere My Love," was rendered by Ola Robinson. Prelude and Dost- lude music was played by Itha Mortensen. Orton was born May 21, 1911 in Parowan, a son of Don Taylor and Mary Bentley Orton. Or-ton. He married Rula Decker May 25, 1932 in the St George LDS Temple. He was employed at Utah Construction and Mining Co. in Jron County for many years. Survivors include his widow Parowan; sons and daughters, Decker, Rosemead, Cal.; Gary, Mrs. Warren A. (Mary Dawn) Dalton, both of Parowan; Mrs. Dixon (JoeAnn) Hunter, Col-ton, Col-ton, Calif. Also surviving or 10 grandchildren and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Mrs. Larue White, Summit; Mrs. Elta Parks, Nephi; Alton, Taylorsville; Arthur, Murray; Mrs. Esther Chase, Henderson, Nev.; and Mrs. Joyce Green-, halgh, Richfield. |
