Show Former Cedar City resident dies; burial here Monday David Evans Pryor, 83, native na-tive and long-time resident of Cedar City, died in Salt Lake City Wednesday, June 18 of natural causes. Funeral services ser-vices were conducted at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar Ce-dar City Monday afternoon, and burial was in the Cedar City cemetery. Mr. Pryor was born in Cedar City on June 19, 1885, a son of Nathaniel W. and Margaret Evans Pryor. He married Mayme Robinson on Dec. 13, 1912 at Panguitch. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1942, and worked as a surveyor sur-veyor for the Utah State Road Department for 17 years, retiring re-tiring in 1958. Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Louis II. (DeVere) Hepner and Mrs. Owit (Betty) Hartvigsen, both of Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, grand-children, three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Kumen (Henrietta) Leigh, Cedar Ce-dar City. |
