Show Cedar Matron dies, funeral services conducted Monday Funeral services were held Monday, May 19 for Belva Jane Bentley Prisbrey, 38, who died May 16 in the Valley View Medical Center of natural natur-al causes. Speakers at the services included in-cluded Charles Blackburn and Leo Larson with remarks by Bp. DeVon Reeves. Prayer at the Mortuary was by Gam O. Page. Invocation by Albert Clark, benediction by Joseph W. Bauer and the dedication of the grave at the Cedar City Cemetery was by Paul Prisbrey. Pris-brey. Special musical numbers included in-cluded a vocal quartet, Herschel Neeley, Douglas Manning, Zelda Smith and Shirley Stratton, singing "Not Now But in the Coming Years,"; a vocal solo "In the Garden," by Ralph Hafen and a vocal duet by Mr. nd Mrs. Hal Smith. Mrs. Prisbrey was born Sept. 6, 1930 in Parowan a daughter of Clyde Gillins and Mary Belle Bulloch Bentley. She married Heber Kay Prisbrey June 10, 1949 in Cedar City. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include her husband hus-band and two daughters, Shar-on Shar-on Kay and Karen Jane, all of Cedar City; her mother, Cedar City; and the following brothers broth-ers and sisters: John C. Bentley, Bent-ley, McCall, Idaho; Don Bentley, Bent-ley, Mrs. Gam (Rose Laree) Page, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Alray (Dorothy) Orton, Murray; Mrs. Jay (Georgia) Prisbrey, Mrs. Clinton (Linda) Nielson, both of Cedar City. |
