Until recently, the inaccessible Islands of southeast Alaska have remained almost unknown to hunters. The big Kodiak and huge black bear abound in the Islands. According to Jones, high adventure waits f any person, not only sportsmen, who wants to venture into the north country. Traveling north from Prince Ru-ert, Ru-ert, British Columbia by boat, through the island passage, you will find some of the most beautiful beau-tiful mountains, bays, fjords, and Inlets on the North American continent. Fishing is out of this world where salmon of up to 50 pounds are caught every dav. And it isn t impossible to catch halibut on rod and reel that will go several hundred pounds. "Alyeska" is the spectacular story of Mr. Jones' most recent expedition to the north country, concludes with the only film ever taken of a polar bear shot with bow and arrow. This world record re-cord bear was shot from a dis-: dis-: tance of only 40 feet. "Alyeska," showing some of Alaska's newest I hunting grounds, is high adventure ad-venture for the entire family. |
