Show Final Rites Accorded WillardM. Perkins Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, Dec. 30 at the Cedar Fifth Ward Chapel for Willard M. Perkins, Per-kins, 74, who died Dec. 27 in a two-car crash near Summit. Perkins, a native of Cedar City, was a livestockman and rancher, and a Veteran of World War I. Speaker at the services included includ-ed John M. Brown with remarks by Gordon Staker of the Cedar Fifth Ward Bishopric,1 who presided. pre-sided. Special musical numbers included in-cluded a vocal duet, "The End of a Perfect Day," by Connie and Thelma Mosdell; and a vocal solo, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," Some-where," by Alice Williams. Military portion of the program pro-gram and presentation of the flag of the , United States of America to the family was conducted con-ducted by the American Legion Post No. 74. Prayer at the mortuary prior to services was by Dennis Bauer. Invocation was by Vergene Sim-kins Sim-kins and the benediction was by Charles R. Hunter. Dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Rex Harris. |
