Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Virginia Webster Arriving from California last week to spend a holiay vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Milt Jolley were Mr. Jolley's son Clark and his wife. Mrs. Sylvia Jones had the pleasure of meeting i'.er son Tren, his wife Margaret and their daughter Janet of Moses Lake, Washington, in Salt Lake City recently. The occassion was the marrage of Janet Jones to Selfrid Quest of Sweden. The couple recited vows December 16 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. They will make their home in Washington Wash-ington where Mr. Quest is an instructor ins-tructor of foreign languages at the University of Washington. He formerly taught at Brigham Young University. Mrs. Sylvia Jones also enjoyed spending a portion of her holiday with the Alma Jones family of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Hunter were pleased to have the company of Mrs. Hunter's brother-in-law and sister, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Caldwell of Nebraska , here with them for part of the holidays. While " in Southern Utah, Mrs. Caldwell (Marqueritte ), who also has a doctor's degree and like her husband teaches at the University of Nebraska, was assisted by Mr. Douglas Bonzo of the Cedar City High School English Department in compling information for an English Workbook Work-book which she is writing. Dr. Margueritte Caldwell is presently finishing a series of workbooks to complement text books in English from grades 7th through 12th. Here for Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson was their daughter Pat and son-in-law Joseph Stapley of California. They arrived here with their children chil-dren from California and stayed until December 26. While in Southern Utah the Stapley's also visited in Summit with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley. The A. W. Stephensons traveled travel-ed to Delta and Salt Lake City for a portion of the holidays. Accompanying them back to spend the New Year's holiday was their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ha Ray Stephenson and children. Other seasonal company included includ-ed Mr. Stephenson's cousin and his wife of Las Vegas, Mr. and . Mrs. Orville Lee. |
