Show BPW Club The regular dinnor meeting of the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club was held at Sullivan's Cafe with President Clara Knell presiding. Mrs. Knell welcomed wel-comed members and guests ' and called attention to the State Convention to be held in Beaver, June 7, 8, and 9. Mrs. Vivian Knell, chairman of the Personal Development Committee, introduced Mrs. Christine Wlnterrose, who Is well known in Cedar City for her musical talent. Mrs. Win-terrose Win-terrose gave a brief sketch of her background, interest, and training in music. She sang two numbers, "I Hear You Calling Me" and "Sunrise, "Sun-rise, Sunset," from the popular pop-ular play, "Fiddler on the Roof." Mrs. Knell then presented Mrs. Prudence Croft, who discussed dis-cussed her hobby of weaving, how she first became interested inter-ested in it and developed it into an exciting and absorbing absorb-ing vocation. Mrs. Croft displayed dis-played many beautiful items of her handicraft; also woodwork wood-work and alabaster articles made by her husband. |
