Show Valley View Open House Climaxes Hospital Week Here Mrs. Ruth N. Gailey, State Hospital Auxiliary president, will visit the Valley View Medical Center, climaxing the local observance of National Hospital Week. There will be an open house at the hospital hos-pital from 4-8 p. m., May 18. Pink Ladies will be available to escort anyone interested in touring the hospital facilities. Theme for the week is, "Your Hospital People Caring for People." Most people are unaware of how many people and skills are necessary in providing care for each patient. pa-tient. The average community commun-ity hospital employs nearly three people to care for each patient admitted. There are many job classifications class-ifications within a hospital's walls, ranging from accountant account-ant to lab technician, pharmacist, pharma-cist, kitchen helper, engineer, dietician, and many others that the patient rarely comes in contact with, yet are vital to the overall care and well-being well-being of the patient. The 1968 observance of National Na-tional Hospital Week will be May 12-18. It is a fitting week in which to recognize the vital contributions made by these rarely seen and too often forgotten for-gotten hospital employees. Visit the hospital this week. |
