Show Congressman Sets Sights on Passage of "Dixie" j Utah Congressman Sherman P. Lloyd predicted Tuesday that the House will reauthorize reauthor-ize the long awaited Dixie Project for southwestern Utah when the Colorado River Basin Bas-in Bill comes to the House floor later this week. "I have received assurances from Rep. John Saylo, R-Penn., R-Penn., ranking minority member mem-ber of the House Interior Committee, Com-mittee, that he will support the Dixie Project, even though he will lead the opposition to some sections of the bill," Moyd said. Rep. Gerald R. Ford, House "topublican leader, has given his endorsement to the entire package, and with that kind : if influential support, the Dixie Dix-ie should be included in any bill which is passed, Rep. Moyd added. The Utah Republican said he reauthorized Dixie would V constructed at a cost of "58 million as compared to a previous cost estimate of $44 nillion when the project was iriginally authorized in 1964. The increase will provide for I a 100 year affective life of the proiect instead of 80 years.
