Show Placement Exams Set for Peace Corps Southern Utah area residents resi-dents interested in helping the people of developing nations to help themselves are invited to take the Peace Corps Placement Place-ment Test at 1:30 P.M . on Saturday, July 15 at the Federal Fed-eral Bldg. in Provo. The test measures general aptitude and the ability to learn a foreign language, not education or achievement. It is given to determine where and how an applicant will be happiest and best utilized overseas. The test requires no preparation and is non-competitive; an applicant can neither nei-ther pass nor fail. The test takes about one hour and a half. The application form, available avai-lable from local post offices, is the most important factor in the selection of Volunteers. Persons interested in serving in the Peace Corps must fill out an application, if they have not already done so, and present it to the tester before taking the test. |
