Show Joseph Bartons Honored At Open House An open house was held Friday, July 1, In the First Ward LDS Church for newly-weds, newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. T x m i Barton. The couple was married mar-ried June 28 at the Salt Lake Temple with Elder O. C. Childs officiating at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the former Eva Rae Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmon F. Christensen Chris-tensen of Pleasant Grove. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Vivian Barton of Cedar City. For the open house the bride greeted guests in a floor-length wedding gown styled from white satin. A . bridal illusion veil fell from a crown of lace and seed pearls to shoulder length. Her bouquet featured a white orchid or-chid surrounded by red and white rose buds In a cascading cascad-ing style. Bridal attendants included Mrs. Jay Muir and Miss Pat Barton, sister of the bridegroom. bride-groom. They were both dress-ed dress-ed in blue suits and were adorned with white carnation corsages. Best man was Larry Nelson. Ushers were Clark and Daryl Christensen, brothers of the bride, and Lynn, Mike, and Mark Muir, nephews of the bridegroom. Dresses for mothers of the newlyweds were in beige and blue shades, styled to street-length street-length and accented with matching, corsages. Serving at the open house were VerLee Pickerine Rnnnip Nelson, Colleen McDonough, Tina Esplin, Gena Henrie, and Patsy Webster. Kitchen hostesses host-esses included Mrs. Grant Hunter, Mrs. Adrian Baldwin, and Mrs. Emma Keele. Miss Melouine Ann Barton attended attend-ed the guest book. Mrs. Scott Barton and Mrs. Larry Nelson were gift room assistants. The bride Is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and the four year Seminary program. She has also studied stud-ied at Brigham Young University Uni-versity and College of Southern South-ern Utah. The bridegroom is a graduate of Cedar City High School, a member of the National Na-tional Guard, fulfilled a work mission to the Southern California Cal-ifornia mission field, and has studied at San Fernando Valley Val-ley State College and College of Southern Utah. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
