Show Former Resident Bill Arnold Drowns In Lewis Lake, Bill Arnold, former fisheries manager for the Utah Fish and Game stationed in Cedar City and assigned to the Southern Region, drowned Sunday, July 2, after the boat he was in capsized in Lewis Lake, Yellowstone National Park. Arnold worked for the Fish and Game Division Fisheries Section from the time he was emDloyed in 1958 until he resigned to accept a biologist's position with the U. S. Fish j and Wildlife Service in 1965. At the time of his acceptance with the national organization i he and his family were resid- j ing in Cedar City. Information sent to Fish! and Game Director Bud Phelps indicated Bill was on Lewis Lake with two other companions when their boat capsized. The two other men were able to make it to shore. Residents of this area, SDortsmen, and Fish andj Game personnel who knew Bill were saddened at hisi drowning as he was well! 1'kert and resoected as an in ! dividual and as a wildlife worker . |
