Show Skougards Organize Family Group At First Reunion Mrs. Clayton Rasmussen reports re-ports that ,a very enjoyable and successful reunion was held here on July 1 for members mem-bers of the Niels Mortensen bkougard family. Almost 70 members gathered to enjoy the day, with members coming com-ing from California, Salt Lake City, Kearns, Orem, Provo, Ka-nab, Ka-nab, Richfield, Beaver, Cedar City, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. This was the first reunion for this family and during the gathering a family organization organiza-tion was effected with the following fol-lowing as officers: Douglas Muir of Orem, president; Barbara Bar-bara Mickelson of Kearns, vice president, and Loraine Muir of Orem, secretary and treasurer, with one member from each family group to be named later to work with the above three. A member of the family, Mrs. Barbara Chidester Mickelson Mick-elson and her sister Norma, recently flew to Denmark where the family originated, to do research work on this line, Mrs. Rasmussen states, and they returned with many family pictures and a wealth of genealogical information. During the afternoon the group enjoyed a program featuring fea-turing s song by Mrs. Christine Chris-tine Winterrose accompanied on the piano by her sister, Geralca Houchen and a piano solo by Miss Carla Millett, a daughter of Mrs. Kay Skou-gard Skou-gard Millett. |
