Show Austin Benson, 52 Succumbs; Final Rites Friday Austin Benson, 52, of Cedar City died early Monday morning morn-ing at his home following a heart attack. Services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the Cedar City Sixth Ward Chapel at 2 p. m. Friends may call at the Southern South-ern Utah Mortuary from 11:30 1 a. m. until time of services. I Benson was a member of the LDS Church. He was a member, of the BPOE Lodge Wo. 1556 of Cedar City and was a veteran of World War IL He has been with the U. S. Post Office Department in Cedar City for the past 18 years and was serving in that capacity at the time of his death. He was born in Parowan on ' Aug. 21. 1914, a son of James Monroe and Amanda Jensen Benson. He married Elva Ence May 11, 1938k in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife, Cedar dry; a - son, Lewis James Benson, Las Vegas, Nev.; and three daughters: Mrs. Marlene Beal, Mrs. Rodney Rod-ney (Connie Lou) Jones, and Sherry Benson, all of Las Vegas. Abo surviving are three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Colleen Clark, Salt Lake City. Burial will be In the Cedar City cemetery. |
