Show Responsibility For Reporting Detailed by S. S. -Mr. Keller T. Powell, district dis-trict manager, Social Security Administration in Provo, said today that all employers who have employees working at jobs covered by social security are required to report the em-ployees' em-ployees' earnings to Internal Revenue Service. Farm Workers Work-ers are reported annually; all others are reported quarterly. All wages paid by businesses are covered under social security. secur-ity. Farm wages are covered if $150.00 in wages are paid in a calendar year. Domestic services and non-business work is covered if $50.00 or more is paid during the calendar calen-dar quarter. Reports of these covered wages are required by law and may be important, as the wages earned may be the factor fac-tor which determines whether a worker and his family becomes be-comes entitled to retirement, disability, survivor's insurance, insur-ance, or medicare. Mr. Powell stated that the social security representatives will be glad to explain reporting re-porting requirements. Visit the social security office for more information.
