Show CSU Drama S'oideiits Accorded Honors Eleven College of Southern Utah Drama Club students were cited for special abilities Monday, May 20, at the Annual An-nual Drama Club Spring Awards Banquet. Receiving an award for the most promising actor was Michael Boss, Cedar City. Nancy West, Fillmore, was named the most promising promis-ing actress. I Greg Langley, Boulder City, Nev., won the award for the boy making the greatest contribution con-tribution to drama during the year. Mary Judd, Sparks, Nev., was named as the greatest contributor among the girls. Madeline Jensen,- Richfield, won the award for achieving the most growth in a single play. Judy Heal, Provo, outgoing out-going president of the Drama Club, was given the Leadership Leader-ship Award. Gary Holfeltz, Vernal, received the award for the greatest contribution to i the production end of the drama season. Receiving the Ability, Behavior, Be-havior, Cooperation, Dependability, Depend-ability, and Efficiency Award, known traditionally as the A B C D E Award, was JoAnne Fanning, Colton, Calif. The Doer Awards, for persons most efficiently and cooperatively coopera-tively working behind the scenes, went to Doug Bishop, Salt Lake City, and Carol Stokes, also of Salt Lake. Receiving the Screwball, was Ken Vick, Provo. This award is given to an individual individ-ual who made the projects fun, and worked the hardest too to get them done. Receiving special commendations commen-dations at the program were Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Adams, advisors to the Drama Club, and Dr. Royden C. Braith-waite, Braith-waite, CSU President. |
