Show Announcement Of Four CSU Scholarships Four additional high school scholarship winners have been announced at College of Southern Utah by John Q. Cannon, coordinator of placement place-ment and financial aids. Virginia Lorenson, Elsinore; Linda L. Shields, Milford; Michael Mi-chael Hutchings, Spanish Fork; and' Blaine Mason Lyman, Ly-man, Escalante, " will receive full tuition scholarships to attend at-tend CSU during the 1968-69 school year. " The new recipients bring the totaL of scholarships awarded to incoming freshmen to 64. Names of the other 60 were announced earlier by Mr. Cannon. Can-non. ' He stated that competition for the scholarships was especially es-pecially keen this year. He added that many excellent students had to be eliminated because of the large numbers applying and the limited number num-ber of scholarships available. Each scholarship provides full tuition for each quarter of the school year. Those students who maintain at least a 3.0 average at CSU will be eligible to re-apply for the scholarship next year, Mr. Cannon said. The scholarships scholar-ships are worth $77 per quarter quar-ter or $231 for the year. |
