Show Ski Operation Closes for Season Skiing at Brian Head will finally take a graceful bow and move aside for other sportes activities. This coming weekend, May 20 and 21, will mark the end of the 1966-67 ski season. As a conclusion to its third season, the Board of Directors of Brian Head Corp. will meet at the Brian Head Inn Saturday, May 20. The present board members are I McRay Cloward, president and I chairman of the board; Dave Scheets, vice president; Jim Rust, secretary; Winston Seeg-miller, Seeg-miller, treasurer; Martin Klia-man, Klia-man, Lee Kuhn, Burt Nichols, and Homer Vesels. At its Saturday meeting the directors will discuss the previous pre-vious ski season's activities and will take a look into the future developments of the area, wan Uhun, a prominent ski resort planner from Los Angeles, Calif., will present his( master plan of the Brian Head area to the group. Chun has done the master plan for several other successful ski resorts. re-sorts. Brian Head's increase in business during the past season sea-son has been created mainly I through participation of the I local people from Cedar City, I Parowan, and other southern Utah communities. The board of directors extends their appreciation ap-preciation to the people of southern Utah for their help and suporte- Of all the money which has been expended by the corporation, the group feels that they have received more from the dues which they have paid annually to the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce than from any other oth-er expenditure. They expressed express-ed appreciation for the work the chamber is doing and will support it continously, Darryl Schramm, general manager indicated. Even though skiing is coming com-ing to an end, the Brian Head Inn will remain open seven days a week and the ski lift will resume operation again this summer for scenic rides. |
