Show Commencement Program Set At Cedar High Theron Ashcroft, professor at the College of Southern Utah since 1939, will deliver the address to the graduates at commencement exercises of the Cedar City High School on Friday, May 2(5, it is announced announc-ed by Clair Morris, principal. Approximately 200 students are expected to receive diplomas diplo-mas at the exercises slated to begin at 8:15 p. m. Representing the 1967 graduating grad-uating class as speakers will be Eugene Dalley and Beth Corry. Other student representatives represen-tatives will include Gary Whitney who will offer the invocation and Lorrie Leigh who will render the benediction. benedic-tion. Ashcroft, in addition to his position on the CSU faculty, is president of the Cedar West Stake of the LDS Church. He has been active as well in community affairs, serving terms on the board of directors direct-ors of the Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, several years as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission and was on the district committee of the Boy Scouts of America. He attended Brigham Young College at Logan and graduated graduat-ed with a degree in engineering engineer-ing from Utah State University Universi-ty in 1937. 1 |
