Meeting I A meeting of the Y-Z Trail as-1 as-1 oclatlon was held Saturday, Mar. 7, In Caliente, Nev. for the purpose pur-pose of electing officers to serve for 1959, and to plan the organization's organi-zation's future publicity campaign. cam-paign. Bill McGhie of Caliente was named as president to succeed Warren H. Bulloch of Cedar City who has served during the past year. Mr. McGhie was the first president of the group when It was formed more than 10 years ago. Mr. McGhie Is the postmaster at Caliente, a position he has held for 17 years. He is a past president of the Caliente Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce and a paac president pres-ident of the Caliente Rotary Club. Named as first vice president, a position held by Mr. McGhie In 1953, was A. James Lundberg, an insurance agent from St George. Other retiring officers are Arthur Ar-thur Barlocker, Enterprise, second sec-ond vice president; Ray Downs, Tonopah, Nev., third vice president, presi-dent, and D. W. Corry of Cedar City, secretary. Spcond and third vice presidents presi-dents for 1959 will be appointed by groups from LeeVlnlng, Calif., and from Tonopah. Secretary will ed president, and will be from Caliente. Election of officers took place I at the board of director's meeting meet-ing held at 5 p. m. and a dinner din-ner meeting open to the general public was held later In the evening eve-ning at which time the election results were announced. Carroll Miller, chairman of the Y-Z Trail Assn. advertising committee com-mittee reported on activities during dur-ing 1958 and made recommendations recommen-dations for the 1959 program. Mr. Miller Indicated that enough brochures bro-chures were available for the 1950 und I960 campaign but suggested sug-gested that work begin Immediately Immedi-ately for preparation of color photos to be Included In a brochure bro-chure to come out In 19(1. The Y-Z Trail Association will operate on a budget of $3750 during dur-ing 1959, largest to date and considerably con-siderably above the 1958 level with resources coming from county coun-ty organizations and contributions contribu-tions from local chambers of commerce along the Y-Z route, it was indicated.
