Show Clair Rogers Takes Position With Aircraft Firm r7i CLAIR ROGERS Native Cedarlan, Clair Rogers, who has been working tor the past several years with the Utah State Road Commission, left early this week for Seattle, Wash., where he has accepted a position posi-tion with the engineering staft of Boeing Aircaft. Mr. Rogers has accepted the position of assistant to the head of Boeing department of outer space research. He in Ilea ted, in an Interview prior to his leaving for the Northwest, that he will be working directly with research ajid that although his work will be classified, one of the principal princi-pal fields of study will be with the development of metals for ue in outer space travel. Rogers and his family, including includ-ing his wife, Alice Canno Rogers, Rog-ers, formerly of New Haven, Conn., and three boys. Clair Winston, Wins-ton, Jr.; Scott Cannon and Ted Brushman, will make thlr home In Seattle. Clair is a graduate of tie Cedar Ce-dar City High School and rveiv-ed rveiv-ed his master's degree from Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University. He has been employed by the State Road Commission as district dis-trict materials engineer stationed In Cedar City since June, 1958. He has also spent a number of summers working with the department de-partment throughout the state including assignments at Cedar City, since 1951. Immediately following his graduation from BYU he accepted a position as head of the spectl-graphic spectl-graphic department, and assistant assist-ant to the president In research for the Minerals Refining, Co., at Murray. Clair is the son of Wlllam E. Rogers, who Is now residing in St. George. He has three brothers, all residents of SL George and two are presently enrolled at the University of Utah. |
