Show Services Conducted For Frederick Wm. Getz Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar Ninth Ward Ca-pel Ca-pel Monday afternoon for Frederick Fred-erick William Getz, 68, who died Friday after a short illness. Mr. Getz was born July 26, 1896, in Tremont, 111., to Phillip and Bertha Isch Getz. He married Anna Charlotte Mclntire on Nov. 20, 1920 in Ogden. He is a former Brigham City resident, is a World War I Veteran, and has been employed em-ployed by the Utah Construction Co. Survivors include his widow; and the following sons and daughters, Mrs. Denze (Merle) Curtis, Los Angeles; Mrs. Ray (Elaine) Watklns, Victor, Idaho; Mrs. Deryl R. (Desta) Young, Brigham City; Max, Cedar City. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, grandchild-ren, a great-grandchild, four brothers and two sister. Speakers at the services were Bishop Max J. Payne, and Bishop Edwin C. Cox. Invocation was by David L. Sargent, benediction by Merrill B. Kunz; dedication of the grave by Melvin Castleton, and prayer at the mortuary by Daryl Ross Young. The musical program included the opening and closing songs, "Oh, My Father" and "I Need Thee Every Hour", by the Relief Society Singing Mothers, and a vocal solo by Ralph Hafen. Burial was in the Cedar City cemetery. |
