Show Additional Moisture Dropped in Area During Week The nice rainstorms of last week brought a total of .45 of an Inch of water to Parowan Valley according to Clayton Rasmussen, weather station caretaker. In the 12-hour storm, starting Wednesday night and lasting to Thursday morning, we got .34 of an inch. Thursday night an additional ad-ditional .04 of an inch came and Friday night another .07 of an inch for the .45 total. Most stone fruits in the valley were killed by the frosts of the week before, but it is reported that some apples and pears escaped es-caped ihst Ifcsi although they are not safe yet Mr. Rasmussen states that he has a cherry tree at his home on which the blossoms were frozen, froz-en, but that the tree has come out in bloom again, to make another an-other try for a crop. |
