Show A PROCLAMATION 1 WHESAS, May is the month when the American Legion and Auxiliary members Invite their fellow townsmen to Join them in a gesture of remembrance for thrwaa who died In America's de- 'fense by buying and wearing the little red crepe paper flower the Flander's Poppy that has become a memorial flower, recognized rec-ognized as the emblem of the high Ideals for which these men gave their lives, and WHEREAS, Uie funds uulaifiC-vi from the distribution of the poppies pop-pies enable the rehabilitation and child welfare programs to function at full effectiveness, and WHEREAS, Poppy Day is the opportunity for all of us to extend ex-tend a helping hand to a needy child or to let a disabled veteran In a hoipit&l know that some-.oroo some-.oroo nnri in chnw thi vet erans In our own community that the sacrifices they made for America and the world are remembered. re-membered. NOW THEREFORE, I, Osmer K.
