Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SVING Visiting at the Tony Lambert home recently were Mrs. Lambert's Lam-bert's neice and 'husband, Cathy and II. G. Linford. Mr. Lin-ford, Lin-ford, wh oteaches at Granite High School, is the son of former Cedar Ce-dar City coach "Tuff" Linford. The couple spent several day3 here before returning to their home in the Salt Lake City area. Special Kuest inviied to join the Pinochle party at the home of Utah Barrick last Friday was Eiva Benson. Elva managed to win top score and a prize along with it. Regular club members. Jean Robb, Wanda Docksteader and Wanna Hoyle were also awarded prizes for their scoring ability. Thirteen couples who met for a holiday party at the home of the Mitchell Lunts provided their own entertainment for the evening even-ing in the form of a variety of musical numbers and dramatic reading. The group met for th festive social prior to the New Year. The party was planned by chairman Mrs. Lunt. The most recent meeting of the Cazania Club was last Wednesday Wednes-day with election of new officers on the agenda. The scene for the event was the home of Mrs. 'Joseph 'Jo-seph Bauer where the ladies gave the out going officers of 1961 a vote of thanks for their capable leadership ability during the past year. Recipients of the expressions expres-sions of thanks were past president. presi-dent. Velma Leany; secretary, Sylvia Chamberlain and club reporter re-porter June Thorley. Officers for 1962, elected by the group, were president. Glenna Topham; secretary, sec-retary, Alice Stout and reporter Maureen Lunt. |
