Show Annual Dinner-Dance Scheduled by Cedar City Chamber The annual Chamber of Commerce Com-merce Dinner-Dance will be staged stag-ed Friday evening Jan. 12 at the College of Southern Utah New Student Center, it was announced by Robert C. Hansen, chamber president. The annual event is open to the public and reservations should be made by contacting the Chamber of Commerce offices. offi-ces. Time of the event has been set for 7:45 p. m. Special guest speaker of the evening will be Robert E. Halla-day, Halla-day, executive secretary-manager of the Utah Manufacturers Association and a past manager of the Provo Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. Also expected in attendance will be Gus Backman, manager of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. One of the highlights of the evening will be the announce ment of winners in elections to the Chamber of Commerce for 1962. Mr. Hansen is vying for the position of president for a second term and he is being opposed by Dan Crawford, owner and operator op-erator of Crawford Motor Sales In Cedar City. Vice presidential candidates are Dub Leigh and Farrell Peter son. Halladay is a native of Provo and has long been active In affairs af-fairs of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce there. In addition he has been affiliated with the national organization and has served as a director of the Western Institute of Chamber Executives and as a faculty member of the Institute's annual school held at Stanford University at Palo Alto, Calif. |
