Show Jeep Patrol Officers Elected In Monday's Meeting Election of officers of the Iron County Jeep Patrol was held Monday evening and Charles T. Cooley, was reelected as cam-mander cam-mander of the organization. Other officers named at the election meeting were Chester Barrick as captain, and he will also serve as secretary and trea-! trea-! surer; Clarence A. Kirkham and Adrian Baldwin as lieutenants and Bud Garfield and A. L. , Thompson as sergeants. ! At the election meeting a report re-port of two air searches were also made In regard to a recent report of a downed twin -engine plane from California. i Following a report to the Iron County Sherrlff's office of a fire In the mountains Sunday evening, even-ing, two planes of the Patrol i were dispatched Monday for a I search from Brlanhead to Parowan Paro-wan on the mountain ranges for further signs but failed to locate the reported fire. A. L. Thompson and Robert Bradshaw, at the request of Harlan Har-lan Bemmont, director of the State Aeronautical Assn. also participated In the air search in south eastern Utah for the mis-Ing mis-Ing plane. The pair logged four and one-half hours air time in the search In an assigned grid between Bryce Canyon and Page, Ariz. |
