Show NEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES By Hulda Peterson i Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Mcintosh' of St. George and Otto Wilshire of Circleville visited at the home; ' of Mrs. Nelson Madsen and th.Mr sister Mrs. May Simkins of Circleville Cir-cleville last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farrow and Eddie lirown, the Indian boy, who Is living with them during the school season, made a business busi-ness trip into Salt Lake City .m Tuesday. Mrs. Hulda Teterson ! accompanied them to Provo and brought back her daughter, Georgia Matheson. who will visit with her for an indefinite time. Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand Lang-ford, Lang-ford, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leigh and Mrs. Martha Jones and other oth-er relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen Sunday afternoon to honor their aunt. May Simkins, on her birthday. birth-day. The group enjoyed a fine gi'i-iogi'iiuT reminiscing unci en-Joying en-Joying dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wood of Cedar City brought some Bible films, which they showed to a group of people who the Hum-pherys Hum-pherys invited In for the evening. eve-ning. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife, Mr. and Mrs.! Rudger Fife, Hulda Peterson and Mrs. Georgia Matheson. Refresh, ments were served and a pleasant pleas-ant evening enjoyed. Mrs. Beu-lah Beu-lah Brown, mother of Mrs. Bil-lie Bil-lie Humpherys, was also present. pres-ent. The Relief Society Ladies gave the Sunday evening program with the Singing Mothers furnishing fur-nishing the music. I Mr. and Mrs. Victor Cline of Salt Lake City spent several days visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones. Mr. Cline was attending to business while his wife and two children visited vis-ited with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker, Lyle Farrow, John Farrow and Mrs. Mollie Grimshaw left on Thursday afternoon for Phoenix, Arizona, to attend the Farrow reunion. Many from Salt Lake City, Cedar City, Summit and Minersville participated. They also attended sessions of the Mesa Me-sa L D S Temple. The reunion was held at Evergreen Park in Mesa. The group visited many interesting places on the trip, Including In-cluding the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Mrs. Minnie Dalley has returned re-turned home after spending a week vacationing with the fam- tl, r-t If. ,1 - T..f.l, .. uuvai in Spanish Fork. j The Relief Society members gave their semi annual Sunday evening program with President Jean Farrow, Minnie Dalley, Karen Fife and Ella Lawrence delivering topics which were outlined by the general board of the Relief Society. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Hulet and their small daughter, Dian, and son Dannie spent the week end in Antimony where they attended at-tended a wedding of a friend of Mrs. Hulet Saturday night, and visiting with Mrs. Hulet's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. B. I. Mathews, Math-ews, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robinson i ana son Dean of Paragonah vis-iited vis-iited with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dee White Sunday. They were honored honor-ed at dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White and their daughter, daugh-ter, Jenny, Parley Dalley and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matheson present. pres-ent. Those who participated In the temple excursion to St George Saturday were a group of Primary Pri-mary children who were chaperoned chap-eroned by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White, Mrs. El da Fife and Mrs. Elva Farrow. The children were Shirley Farrow, Jenny White, Maxine Dalley, Carlos Dalley, Colleen Fife, Roland Walker, Eddie Ed-die Brown and Gale Benson. |
