Show WIRING FOR THE HOME Electricity Demonstration Board A rather unique but highly in-1 structive demonstration of "Electricity "Elec-tricity as it applies to the home," has been constructed through the combined efforts of Ted Cox of. Southern Utah Tower Company and Clifton Chatterley, Instructor of Industrial arts at the Cedar Junior High School. The demor. tration is concentrated concen-trated on a large board that Is arranged to show a variety of electrical wiring systems and problems that commonly occur in the home. The board demonstrates and explains first the origin and distribution of power to the home. It details the theory ofj generation and transformation of power and shows the pitfalls' of inadequate wiring. In addition, it shows proper, wiring arrangements for single pole switches, three-way switches switch-es and four-way switches. In addition ad-dition low voltage or remote control switching is explained. Devised by Cox and Chatterley, Chatter-ley, electrical phases of the unit were arranged by Cox with Chatterley Chat-terley and members of the various vari-ous shop classes at the school helping to construct the board. To date the board and its various vari-ous electrical aspects has been explained to five classes at the junior high school. According to Cox he hopes to take the board to numerous schools and organizations In the area. Principal purpose of the board is to teach adequate wiring and safety. In addition practically any phase of electricity can be taught from the simple demonstrative demon-strative units of the board. |
