Show Broncos Pick Up Fourth Place in Mesa Meet College of Southern Utah Bronco Bron-co track and field team traveled to Mesa, Colo, the week end of April 14 and 15 to participate in the Mesa Invitational Meet. Broncos finished In fourth place and picked up eight places in the meet, including two seconds. sec-onds. Winner of the meet with a strong aggregation was Pueblo Junior College of Pueblo, Colo., which racked up 102 team points with eight firsts and two first In relay events. Next in line was Weber College of Ogden and Ft. Lewis of Colorado, each with 46 points. CSU picked up 26 point for fourth and host Mesa had 19 points. Farnsworth of CSU finished second in the 120 yard high hurdle hur-dle event and Taylor was second in the javelin. Bronco mile relay team finished third with Don Riding picking up a third in the shot put and Fowles finishing third in the two mile event. The 880 yard relay team finished fin-ished fourth and Harold Riding was fourth in the 410 yard run; Whittaker in the high jump and D. Riding In the Javelin. Taylor picked up another point with a fifth in the high jump. |
