Sherman Sher-man Chrlstensen, Salt Lake City, In addressing his remarks to the wrekJy gathering of the student body and faculty of College of Southern Utah Tuesday morning. Judge Chrlstensen continued ""Don't be afraid to plan great plans, dream great dreams. Hold last to a determination to make them come true. They can come true. Anyone can fail to realize dreams and Ideals If they have none; anybody can achieve failure fail-ure without effort." The sqeaker had been invited to talk with the students at the! request of student council offi- j cers in Cedar City. According to. Miss Frankie Brunson, chairman, a number of Utah's outstanding citizens have agreed to appear and discuss topics of vital concern con-cern to the students. Judge Chrlstensen recalled experiences ex-periences and teachers In his life who successfully lighted within him the desire to achieve and accomplish. He advised the students to "never lose courage." He told of a Norwegian proverb that "nothing in life to to be feared, only understood." The speaker concluded that If he were as young as his listeners he would of curse want to get a broad educational foundation and the maximum of specialized training within his ablitles and responsibilities. "But," he emphasized, em-phasized, "I would seek to live fully, to be worthy of love and to feel the creative thrill of work." j |
