Show Rural Route Extension Granted Local Oiiice Approval has been received from tne regional operations director di-rector of the Post Office Department Depart-ment to extend the Rural Route No. 1 out of the Cedar City office of-fice now serving Cedar Valley and Enoch. It was announced this week by Rulon Wood, Cedar City postmaster. This new extension will pro-vide pro-vide rural mall service to Ridge Road, west of the city and also the new area south of Cedar City on Highway 91. Extension of the new route, according ac-cording to postmaster Wood, begins be-gins on 200 South on 300 West and continues south to Highway 91. The new area served Includes Corry's Dinette, Whiting Service Station and all homes adjacent to Highway 91 south to Condie's Used Parts along with all other homes and places of business east of . Highway 91 ending by serving Journey's End, an area In Cedar City that has not qualified quali-fied to date for city delivery service. ser-vice. Rural Route No. 1, operated by RFD Carrier George R. Manning, provides daily service and Is a decided benefit to citizens of this route. Wood said. |
